Walking the wild – When on a Break!

feature_1k_v002-8926015

My first memory of walking amongst the dense foliage is my teenage trip to Kerala with my parents and siblings. I think that is when I found my love for nature centric vacations rather than a city sightseeing one. I guess that’s what i have truly inherited from my father ( apart from his dashing looks :p ) – love of nature, love for the green. Yes, I do like partying with friends, having a few drinks and playing video games at home with my brother. But I find my true self when i’m in the jungle, in the wild. I feel a sense of peace there. The sounds of birds as we walk along hiking trails makes me want to explore the place even more. And as the sun slowly rises, its rays cut through the mist across the forest bringing life to everything my eyes can see. For me, it’s this feeling which keeps me going, my curiosity to explore, to experience and to capture in my lens. Memories of such moments help me get through my job and makes me come back for more.

Enter Varnica – and I got introduced to bird watching. As destiny would have it, I married into a birding family. My father in-law upgraded my interests into a hobby and eventually this hobby upgraded my interest in photography. Now I see nature in a different perspective –  through my lens. Birds and wildlife play an important role in our travel stories and every other thing, our daily schedules and itinerary revolves around it.
